Welcome to our class and the St. Matthew’s Threes! My name is Julia Evans and Mrs. Bayer and I are looking forward to a great year with your child! We have both come to know and love St. Matthews as our own children are previous graduates. This is my fourth year teaching the threes at St. Matthew’s and my 16th year in education. I have been fortunate to work with many age groups including first graders, college students and now preschoolers. I enjoy working with the little ones and their curious and eager minds. There is never a dull moment!
Mrs. Bayer’s experience with children comes with over 16 years of experience working with kindergarten, preschool and children’s ministry. This year she celebrated 38 years of marriage with her husband Mike. With four children and five grandchildren she stays quite busy but enjoys reading and walking in her spare time.
I grew up in Austin and am proud to still call it home. I feel lucky to be able to raise my two girls here. My husband Scott and I both have deep roots in Austin and feel lucky to be close to our families. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends, playing at the lake, running, reading and cooking.
